Prepping resins and models:

Traditional size $35

Prices listed above are for clean casting that are regular run artist resins and plastic model horses. 2nd castings and older Eberl resins run more and are quoted at time of inspecting the resin /model.

Resculpting:

All sizes :

 Manes $15       Tails $15          Ear(s)  $10        Carved hooves $10

Drastic resculpting includes moving the head or legs. Email me for a quote.

Hairing : $20  (all sizes - basic mane and tail) Braids and feathers are additional. Please email me for a quote.

Painting:

Traditional $115      Classic $90       Peebles $80         SM $65

These prices are for basic colors painted in high quality air brush paints and dusted with pastels for shading/depth of color.

Pasteled dapple gray : additional $45 (traditional)  $30 Classic and Peebles and $15 SM. While the color with pastels are quite unique it is also very time consuming.

Appaloosa pattern : additional $40-80 depending on complexity of the piece. Traditional sizes. Classic/Peebles $30-60 and SM $15-20

Hand roaning : additional $40 -100 depending on complexity.Traditional. Classic/Peebles $30-80   SM $15-20

All models are sealed in Tester's Dull Coat unless you tell me you prefer another finish. Performance models are coated with triple thick and then dull coat. This optional sealing step is offered at no additional charge, however it does add about 2-4 days to the project.

How do I get started?

Check and see if I have an opening available. (I usually do) and let me know the details of the model you want created. From there I can give you prices.

 

Do I have an inspection/approval time limit?

This is my livelihood, so I take painting and the model horse hobby very seriously. I want the customer to be very satisfied with the end results. When the model is completed I will send at least 4 photos for the customer to view and approve. Once the model is approved I will mail the model out. Upon receipt, the customer has 5 days to inspect the model and let me know if they are satisfied. If I don't hear back from you, I will assume you are very happy!  

Can I get a refund if I am not satisfied?

My goal is to have everyone satisfied and happy!   In the event I can not do that I will provide you with a refund of my fees. I can not refund postage, paypal fees, and other fees not charged by Schacht Studio.

When do you require payment?

In order to get your project started, I requite 1/2 the quoted amount due when the model is sent. This can be in the form of a check. money order or paypal payment. The balance is due within 2 weeks of acceptance of the model photos. No models will be mailed out until the balance has been paid in full. 

What if I can't pay off the balance within 2 weeks?

If 2 weeks has passed and the balance can not be paid the custom model will be sent to eBay or MH$P to recover the lost fees. In the event more money is collected than the fees due I will send that balance back to the original owner. 

With that being said I do understand life happens. Sometimes you just don't have the money or your car breaks down or whatever. I can work out time payments with you in the event you are unable to pay the balance within 2 weeks. While this isn't my prefered way to handle payments I am more than willing to work with you. Please understand that my model horse business is also how I pay bills. If you pay late or not at all I can't pay my bills.

Do you accept trades?

Yes. I am usually interested in unpainted artist resins and some china models.

How long does it take?

If your model is already prepped and sent for a baisc paint job I can turn that around within 2 weeks. If you have an unprepped model I will need an additional week for prepping. If you require hairing, resculpting, pastel painting, performance sealer, etc. This will ad up to 2 additonal weeks to the project. Estimated times are provided when the project is accepted. I can not guarentee that a project will be competed by a certain date, however I will do my best.

 

I enjoy painting and drawing horses, cat and people. Each project is quoted at time of acceptance.
